Item: Gauntlet of the Storm’s Fury

Item Type: Very Rare, Wondrous Item (glove), requires attunement

Description:
The Gauntlet of the Storm’s Fury is a sturdy glove crafted from darkened leather and adorned with silver filigree shaped like twisting lightning bolts. This item was said to have been created by a tempest cleric who harnessed the power of storms to defend against an ancient sea monster. The gauntlet feels cool to the touch and hums faintly with the energy of a distant thunderstorm.

Magical Properties:

  1. Storm Strike:
When you make a melee attack with the gauntlet, you can use a bonus action to channel a bolt of lightning through the strike, dealing an additional 2d8 lightning damage.
Mechanics: Usable once per short rest.
  2. Call the Thunder:
As an action, you can summon a clap of thunder within 10 feet of you, causing all creatures in that radius to make a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, they take 3d10 thunder damage and are pushed back 10 feet.
Mechanics: Usable once per long rest.
  3. Storm Shield:
While attuned, the gauntlet grants resistance to lightning and thunder damage. Additionally, you gain advantage on saving throws against being pushed or knocked prone by thunder or wind-based effects.
  4. Windborne Leap:
As a bonus action, you can conjure a gust of wind that allows you to leap up to 20 feet in any direction, even straight up.
Mechanics: Usable a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

Lore:
The Gauntlet of the Storm’s Fury is prized by adventurers who traverse stormy seas or battle tempestuous foes. It carries the memory of countless thunderstorms and imbues the wearer with the power and resilience of the storm itself. Wielders often report feeling their heartbeats sync with the distant roll of thunder, and some even claim they hear the whisper of ancient sky spirits during battle.

This gauntlet is ideal for fighters, barbarians, or clerics who seek to harness nature’s fury and add a deadly edge to their melee attacks.
